He posted his first YouTube video on September 3, 2017, with the title "BROCKHAMPTON: The Future of Hip Hop."

In 2018, he graduated from the University of Rhode Island. He got the idea for the name of his YouTube channel by shortening the words "Always Forward" to "Alfo." The abbreviated motto describes his attitude of always moving ahead and remaining positive despite the obstacles life may present along the way.
