Award-winning television and film actress best known for role as Janice in the 1971 musical Haré Rama Haré Krishna. In addition to acting, she has also gained recognition from her works as a film producer. In 1970, she was named Miss India and Miss Asia Pacific International as a successful beauty pageant model. 

Before Fame

Prior to her professional career, she attended the Saint Xavier's School in Mumbai, India. She initially had plans of becoming a journalist and reporter.

Trivia

Due to her legendary acting and modeling career, she has won many lifetime achievement awards. In fact, she was given the Timeless Glamour & Style Icon award in 2016 during the Filmfare Glamour And Style Awards ceremony, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2021 Filmfare Awards East. Throughout the course of her lengthy acting career, she has appeared in more than 90 titles in both film and television.

Family Life

She was born and raised with her parents in Bombay, India. She is now the mother of two children.
