Warren Gatland

About

Former hooker and athlete that played rugby professionally for eight years before retiring in the year 1994. During his professional career, he primarily played for the Waikato Rugby Union club and the New Zealand men's national team. He stands 6'2" tall and weighs just under 210 pounds.

Before Fame

As a kid, he attended the Hamilton Boys' High School. He later enrolled into the University of Waikato.

Trivia

While coaching the Welsh men's national team, he led them to five Six Nations Championship titles in 11 years. During that time span, they finished runner-up twice.  He eventually began his professional coaching career in the year 1989 as a player-coach.

Family Life

He is a husband and a father of two children. His son Bryn began playing rugby professionally in the year 2015.
