About
Swedish-American geologist who was best known as one of the founders of modern economic geology. In 1905, he founded the journal Economic Geology. Throughout his time, he contributed over 30 papers to the journal.
Before Fame
In 1882, he graduated from the Freiberg Mining Academy. His degree was in mining engineering.
Trivia
In 1924, he served as President of the Geological Society of America. He helped build the Northern Pacific Railway that stretched from St. Paul, Minnesota, to Portland, Oregon.

He is the son of Johan and Emma Lindgren.
