Japanese music producer and composer known for being the keyboardist for the Moonriders and for creating the PlayStation logo sound. He has produced for successful artists such as Psy and Miu Sakamoto.
Before Fame
He graduated from Rikkyo University. In 1973, he joined the rock band Honey Pie. After the group dissolved, he and Keiichi Suzuki co-founded the Moonriders.
Trivia
He composed songs for the Crash Bandicoot commercials in Japan. He also composed the score for the award winning film, Tokyo Godfathers. He died of heart failure on February 14, 2023. The Hyde Park Music Festival in Sayama, Japan, where he was meant to be honored by the members of the Moonriders, was cancelled due to his passing. His passing and life was covered by a handful of large media outlets.
