Japanese competitive rock climber, athlete, and boulderer known for becoming the first climber to win both the Lead Overall World Cup and Boulder Overall World Cup in his debut senior season in 2023, and for winning gold in the combined boulder and lead event at the 2022 Asian Games, which were held in fall of 2023. 

Before Fame

He began climbing in second grade. He competed in youth international competition climbing before his senior international competition climbing debut at the Hachioji World Cup in the year 2023. He attended Yachiyo High School prior to garnering fame as a professional rock climber.

Trivia

He loves junk food, ramen, and fried chicken. He was still attending high school when he made his senior international competition climbing debut. He stands five feet, six inches tall.

Family Life

He was born and raised in Yachiyo, Chiba, Japan. His father introduced him to rock climbing and is one of his biggest supporters.

He attended the 2023 Asian Sport Climbing Olympic Qualifier alongside Miho Nonaka, who also represented Japan.
