Canadian NBA player who was a G-League success story after winning the NBA G League Most Valuable Player honor and NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year honor in 2019. He was a two-time NBA champion in back-to-back seasons for the Golden State Warriors (2018) and Toronto Raptors (2019), though he did not play in either playoffs.

He played soccer and ice hockey in his youth. He dropped out of high school at the age of 16 and worked in a restaurant as a cook and dishwasher. He was offered a spot on Amateur Athletic Union AAU team which helped him earn his high school diploma.
