In 2023, they competed in and lost the WNBA championship. The following year, the franchise captured its first NBA title, defeating the Minnesota Lynx in five games.
Trivia
They were one of the first organizations to select a player when the WNBA debuted in 1997. Cablevision has been the majority owner of the team.
