Originally founded as the Decatur Staleys, the team became the Bears in 1922. The franchise captured its first Super Bowl at Super Bowl XX in 1985-86.
The 1985-86 Bears are known for their historic defense. The team went 15-1, allowing only 12.4 points per game during the regular season. They also outscored their first two playoff opponents 45-0 then beat the New England Patriots 46-10 in the Super Bowl.
