War miniseries and companion piece to the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers which focuses on the US Marine Corps' actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations during the Pacific War.
Trivia
Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Bruce McKenna were among the producers. Hans Zimmer was the theme music composer. It was based primarily on on the memoirs of two U.S. Marines: With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene Sledge and Helmet for My Pillow by Robert Leckie.
