Four students from the sea are forced to go to school on land after their middle school is closed. Drama ensues as land dwellers and those from the sea are at odds with one another. The anime series was produced by P.A.Works.

The series ran for a total of 23 episodes over the course of its year-long run. Due to its popularity it spawned a manga series.
