Public, urban, research university in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Established as a state-assisted university in 1964, the school's historical roots go back to the 19th century. It was originally Fenn College, a private school that had been in operation since 1923.

Historic Fenn Tower is now student housing. It was once known as the "Campus in the Clouds."
