Before Fame

She graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BFA in acting. She also worked as an executive assistant to vocal coach Steve Mackey. At Azusa, she started doing makeup on student films. She says this is mostly because she knew how to do zombie makeup. One of her first gigs was doing special effects alien makeup, which she had no idea how to do, so she taught herself by watching YouTube videos right before going on set.

Trivia

In April of 2018, Hodge experienced paralysis in her hands and feet. After many tests, and a possible diagnosis of mercury and lead poisoning, it gradually went away with treatment. In 2013, she appeared on an episode of The Doctors with obstetrician and gynecologist Lisa Masterson.
