Yvonne Hudson

Television actress, entertainer, comedian, performer, and artist who is widely recognized for having been the first African-American female cast member on Saturday Night Live. She became a featured player on the long-running series during its 1980-1981 season.

Before Fame

She made her debut on SNL during the show's 6th season. 

Trivia

She was an uncredited extra on SNL as early as 1978. Outside of SNL, she did not appear in any other media, and her performance career abruptly ended. Hudson rarely had a role of significance and was fired along with most of the cast at the end of the troubled season. However, she continued to appear occasionally in uncredited small roles until her final appearance on the show in 1984.
