Before Fame
He began competing in shooting in the year 2001. He studied at the Gazi University School of Physical Training and Education in Ankara, Turkey. He attended Selcuk University where he earned a Master's degree in coaching. He served in the Turkish army and became a sharpshooter before leaving to pursue shooting as a sport. He began competing in the Olympics in 2008.
Trivia
He enjoys dancing as a hobby. He went viral worldwide after a photo of him in a t-shirt with his hand in his pocket became a meme comparing him to being a hitman. He and his teammate Sevval Ilayda Tarhan won Turkey's first-ever medal in Olympic shooting in 2024. He quickly gained many followers on his yusufdikecofficial Instagram account.
