Before Fame
She attended Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. She met Alexei Navalny while on a trip abroad in Turkey. She became active alongside Navalny by becoming the first secretary and assistant to him in the year 2007.
Trivia
She became better known after her husband had been hospitalized in the year 2020 after a suspected poisoning incident. She advocated for his care and to hold those suspected of poisoning him accountable. Russian writer Dmitry Bykov said she reminded him of the heroine Lyudmila Petranovskaya.
Family Life
She was born and raised in Moscow, Russia (formerly Soviet Union). She married Alexei Navalny in the year 2000, and they were married until he died in the year 2024. They had two children together.
Associated With
She and her husband have been vocally critical of Vladimir Putin. She met with Joe Biden in February of 2024 after her husband died. She addressed the European Parliament after being invited by Roberta Metsola.
