Acclaimed rapper known throughout South Korea as a member of the hip hop group MFBTY, an acronym meaning My Fans are Better Than Yours. The group released their album WondaLand in March of 2015.
Before Fame
She was discovered in 1995 after attending an audition with a friend. Though she didn't audition, an executive heard her singing outside and resolved to sign her to the group Uptown.
Trivia
She embarked on her solo career in 2001, releasing the debut album As Time Goes By.
Family Life
Her father worked as a radio DJ while serving with the U.S. military in South Korea and it was through his record collection that she fell in love with music. She and her sister Annie also briefly formed the hip hop duo Tashannie. She married MFBTY bandmate Tiger JK in 2007 and they gave birth to son Jordan a year later.
Associated With
In 2006 she performed alongside fellow Korean and African-American singer Amerie in Seoul.
