Acclaimed South Korean actress who appeared in more than 300 films over the span of her career. She starred in Nunggot, Yeoseonjang, and Hwanghonui Blues, among other films. She retired in 1994 but made a comeback in 2010, with a starring role in Lee Chang-dong's drama film Poetry.

She made her acting debut in 1967.
Trivia
She was named Best Actress at the 2010 Blue Dragon Awards for her performance in Poetry. That same year, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Cairo International Film Festival. As well as working in movies, she has also appeared in a handful of television series', and also a few music videos.
