He attended Igbobi College Yaba in Lagos Nigeria where he won the State Merit Award in 1971. He then attended the University of Lagos from 1975 until 1978. He then completed his education at the Nigerian Law School where he went on to become a barrister and solicitor of Nigeria's Supreme Court.
