Egyptian television and film actor who is known for his roles in Kharag wa lam ya'ud, Abbas al abiad fi al yawm al aswad, and Zeezinya. He also voiced Woody in the Arabic Egyptian dubbed version of Toy Story and Toy Story 2.

In the year 1971, he earned a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from Ain Shams University in Cairo.
Trivia
In October of 2020, he was sworn in as a member of the Egyptian Senate and appointed by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-sisi after he and the artist Samira Abdel Aziz were chosen as representatives of Egyptian art within the Senate.

He and his wife Lamis Gaber have a son named Shadi El-Fakharany.
