She earned a degree in economics from the University of College London. She then earned a Master's degree in management from the London School of Economics. She also has an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. She became the head of research and development at Jigsaw in 2006.

She played basketball in school and played on the national United Kingdom under-16 basketball team before attending university.
