Professional cricket player for the Indian national cricket team, as well as for Mumbai in domestic cricket and the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, the latter of which paid approximately $300,000 for him to join their league at the 2020 IPL auction. He is well-known for his illustrious career achievements including the titles of leading run-scorer of the India U-19 team, as well as the Player of the Tournament at the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. He made his international career debut in 2023 when he joined India's test squad for the series against the West Indies.

Before Fame

He left his family home at the age of 10 to begin his cricket training in Mumbai. He had to live in a tent for three years during that period. He was eventually taken in by cricket academy manager Jwala Singh, who not only fostered his talent as a cricket player, but became his legal guardian. He played his breakthrough match in 2015, when his score broke an all-round school cricket record according to the Limca Book of Records.

Trivia

In the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Jhardkhand, he officially became the youngest double centurion in all of List A cricket's history. He was 17 years old at the time. That same year, he earned a Deodhar Trophy. 

Family Life

He is the son of father and hardware store owner Bhupendra Jaiswal and housewife Kanchan Jaiswal. He is the fourth of six children.

In May 2023, while playing for the Rajasthan Royals, he hit the fastest IPL half-century in just 13 balls, which broke the record previously held jointly by players KL Rahul and Pat Cummins.
