American actor, performer, entertainer, artist, and writer who is best known for his roles in a wide assortment of film and television projects such as The Wasp Woman, Playhouse 90, and Law & Order. He also played the role of Henry Chamberlain in the television series Guiding Light.

Before Fame

He was a classically trained actor. In the year 1934, he graduated from Hamilton College. He was also a student at the Stockbridge Playhouse drama school in the year 1935.  

Trivia

In the year 1947, he served as one of the hosts for writer EM Forster when Forster visited America. He later wrote a memoir essay of this time (entitled "Forster in America"), as well as the play Passage to E. M. Forster. 

Family Life

He was a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Before he died, he lived with his partner and writer Thomas Coley, whom he wrote television scripts with. Roerick died on November 30, 1995, in an automobile accident, either in Tyringham or the adjacent town of Monterey, Massachusetts.
