She is the daughter of singer Willy Alberti and Hendrika Geertruida Kuiper. She was married to musician Joop Oonk, with whom she had 1 daughter, from 1964 to 1974. She later married John de Mol Jr., with whom she had a son, actor Johnny de Mol, in 1976. After their 1980 divorce, she married for a third time to athlete Søren Lerby, with whom she had another son. She and Søren separated in 1996.
