Perhaps known best for his role as Paul Joyner on the BBC One's Casualty, Thorp also appeared on Law and Order: UK and Coronation Street. In addition, he had a successful career as a stage actor, starring in David Hare's The Blue Room and playing a small character role in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
Before Fame
During his early years, he performed with both the National Youth Theatre and the the Musical Youth Theatre Company in his native England. He went on to train at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
