Will McIntosh

About

Science fiction and young adult author, known for his novels such as Defenders, Love Minus Eighty and Burning Midnight. His short story Bridesicle won both the 2010 Hugo Award for Best Short Story and the 2010 Asimov's Reader Poll, along with being a finalist for that year's Nebula Award. In 2021, he announced on his WillMcIntoshSF Facebook that he would be focusing more on television and film projects, rather than his writing. 

Before Fame

He received a phD in social psychology from the University of Georgia in 1990. He was a psychology professor at Georgia Southern University where he studied relationship dynamics, happiness and other related subjects. In 2012 he moved to the College of William & Mary to teach introductory psychology and focus on his writing.
