Before Fame
She began her career in broadcasting at WSSJ in Camden, New Jersey in the year 1982. From WSSJ, she went to Philadelphia's country station WXTU, then to WUSL and in 1987 became a part of the WDAS family. In 1993, she decided to try another format and took a one-year hiatus to co-host mornings at WIOQ. After adding another facet to her broadcast history, she returned to her home at WDAS where she is currently the midday host Monday through Saturday.

In 2015 she suffered a life-changing stroke and many questioned if she would ever be able to bounce back to the personality they knew. She not only bounced back, but added more to her plate: she hosted MyNewPhilly's dessert series, Phillycious, became an entertainment writer for the Philadelphia Tribune Magazine, and began discussing all things pop culture on her YouTube channel. Her latest achievements are being named one of the most influential Philadelphians, having the 2300 block of Ellsworth renamed "Patty Jackson Way" in her honor, and being profiled in Philadelphia Magazine.
