Music video and film director with an extensive resume of career accomplishments and accolades. Some of the most well-known music videos he has directed include "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi , "I Want it That Way" by Backstreet Boys, and "Enter Sandman" by Metallica.

Before Fame

In the 1970s, he was a student of University of California, Santa Barbara. While attending college, he saw and was immediately inspired by the music video for David Bowie's song "Ashes to Ashes," which he often attributes to the reason he began creating music videos. 

Trivia

Some of his many awards include the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, the Music Video Production Association's Lifetime Achievement Award, and three MTV Video Music Awards for the music video for "Piece of Me" by Britney Spears. As a director, he has earned over 200 credits on various projects throughout the years.

He and his wife are the parents of two children.
