Professional table tennis player selected in May 2021 as an alternate for the Chinese National Team at the Tokyo Olympics reaching the semi-finals before losing to fan Zhendong. That September he lost in the semi-finals again in the China National Games. He was able to win the gold medal in mixed doubles in the finals of the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships and the gold medal for the singles title at the World Table Tennis tournament.
Before Fame
His first major title was to win told in singles and mixed team events at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games that was hosted in Buenos Aires, Argentina that year. However, the next year during a fit of anger while losing a match he was temporarily suspended for throwing his racket and contravening the rules of the tournament. He has played over 400 matches for the nation of China.
Trivia
He uses a left-handed shakehand grip as his attacker playing style. In 2022 he ranked #13 in the world; his all-time high ranking being in 2023 at #2.
