French professional cyclist who raced in every Tour de France from 2000-2006 with the French team, Bonjour. He finished 83rd overall in his final Grand Tour. He announced he would retire after his contract ended with Bouygues Télécom in 2006.
Before Fame
In 1996, he placed 3rd at the Tro-Bro Léon, followed by a 1st place win at Tour du Finistère the year after. In 2000, he turned professional.
Trivia
During the 2006 Tour de France, he was hit in the face by Spaniard David de la Fuente, which sent his glasses and helmet flying into the air. He was found dead in a hotel room in Bali, Indonesia on December 11, 2022. No details as to the cause of death have been released. He was 28-years-old when he turned pro. He also finished every Tour that he rode.
