American painter, ceramics designer, and muralist known for such naturalist-themed works as "Reflection in a Pool." Much of his family's collection of his work was damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

His family owned the Shearwater Pottery in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where he worked as a designer.

He was hired by the Depression-era Works Progress Administration to create a series of murals for the local public school system.

He was one of three sons born to Annette McConnell and George Walter Anderson in New Orleans, Louisiana.
