Family Life
Her maternal grandparents fled Palestine during the 1948 Palestinian Nakba, so her mother, five uncles, and three aunts were born in Jordan. Her father was born in Palestine and fled to Jordan with his family during the 'Six Day War' in 1967. Thus, her parents met and married in Jordan and then moved to Saudi Arabia for work. When her mother became pregnant, she returned to Jordan to give birth surrounded by her family. Her parents and three siblings live close to her. She married her husband Khalil in Australia, and they have three children together.
