About
One half of the Indian Bollywood Hindi film music director duo of himself and brother Sajid Khan. The two first scored music for Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. The year after, they scored music for Sonu Nigam's album, Deewaana. They went on to score music for many more films and television shows, as well as appearing as mentors on the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar.
Before Fame
He is the younger of the two sons. He attended Mithibai College. After college, he was heavily involved in tours and the musical formation.
Trivia
After undergoing a kidney transplant in 2019, his health gradually deteriorated and he developed throat infections. In May of 2020, he was transferred to a hospital with serious complications from Covid-19 and died the following day from a heart attack. As a solo artist, he also launched his own singing career, and went on to receive a number of nominations for different awards.
Family Life
He met his wife Kamalrukh in college. The two dated for over a decade before a Special Marriages Act allowed them to marry without needing to convert to the same religion. They had two children: a daughter, Arshi, and a son, Hrehaan. In 2014, the couple divorced. His parents are Sharafat Ali Khan and Razina Khan. He is the brother of Sajid Khan.
