About
Lebanese politician who served as the Minister of Health since 2008. He is a member of the Progressive Socialist Party. He served on the parliamentary committees for agriculture and tourism, youth and sports and information technology. He was appointed as Minister of Social Affairs in 2011. In 2014 he reported on several Lebanese restaurants violating food safety roles, which initiated the start of a food safety campaign.

He was born in Khalwat al-Kfeir in the Hasbaya District of Lebanon into a Lebanese Druze family. He received a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.

He is married to Zeina Hamedeh. They have two daughters, Sara and Leen, and two twin boys, Adham and Walid.
