Victor Lance Vescovo

About

American private equity investor, retired naval officer, and undersea explorer who completed the, "Explorers Grand Slam," having climbed the highest peak of all seven of the world's continents in the year 2017. He also became the first person in history to have been to both the top of all the world's continents and the bottom of all its oceans.

Before Fame

When he was just three years of age, he almost died after shifting his father's car out of park, hitting a tree. This resulted in him cracking his skull and breaking his jaw, hand, and ribs. In the year 1988, he graduated with a MS degree in political science (defense analysis, with an operations research focus) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In the year 1994, he received his MBA in finance and operations from the Harvard Business School.

Trivia

He is the founder and chief submersible pilot of Caladan Oceanic LLC. He is the co-founder and operating partner at Insight Equity. From 1993 to 2003, he was the commander for the US Navy Intelligence in East Asia. He is also a licensed pilot. 

Family Life

His parents have passed away, and one of his sisters took her own life. He never married or had children, but he has been with his partner Monika since the year 2012.
