About
Cross country skier who is best known for having won the gold medal in the 4x5 km relay at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. She is also known for having won multiple world championships including in Oslo in 2011 and Oberstdorf in 2005.
Before Fame
Her first major recognition occurred at the Junior World Championships in 2000 in Strbske Pleso where she competed in the 4x5 km relay and won the bronze medal. In 2003 at the World Championships in Val di Fiemme, she won the silver medal and in 2005, she went on to win gold at the Oberstdorf World Championships.
Trivia
She is known for having been the first Norwegian to have won the Vasaloppet ladies class in 2012 where she also set a new record time.

She was born and raised in Askim, Norway.
