Athlete who competed in the 2022 Winter Olympic Games that were hosted by Beijing, China as a biathlete, a sport that combines cross-country skiing and long range rifle shooting. The 2022 Olympics were his first appearance in the games. He won medals in both the biathlete mass start, where he took bronze and the relay, where he took home the gold medal.
Before Fame
He showed promise as a skier and biathlete from a young age, doing remarkably well in ranking, races, and Junior World Cup competitions achieving national success and acclaim in Norway before making his senior professional debut on the country's elite team in 2013. He competed in the World Cup in both 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 season, but his performance in the latter was well below expectations. He would leave the elite team before the next season after being affected by a severe viral illness and began skiing on a private team in his lead up to Olympic glory.
