About
Finnish actor and musician who first gained fame in 1962 with his role in the war drama film The Boys. He went on to star in numerous films over the succeeding decades, including the 2005 historical drama Shadow of the Eagle and the 2012 comedy Road North. In 1971, he kicked off his music career with the album 4+20. He was considered one of the most beloved cultural figures in Finland.

He was named Best Supporting Male Actor at the 1982 Jussi Awards for his performance in Sign of the Beast. In 2010, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
