Philanthropist who ran the Roberto Clemente Foundation. She was responsible for the creation of a sports education center in Puerto Rico and she served as a Goodwill Ambassador for Major League Baseball. Her reach extended to Nicaragua, where she established a pediatric clinic in her husband's memory.

In 2003, she went to the White House to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, awarded to her husband posthumously.
