Before Fame

In 2017, she worked at a hair salon with the drag queen Beth, who competed in season 2 of Canada's Drag Race. This was the year she co-hosted the Sin City Military Fetish Ball and started watching RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2019, she was a guest on Tommy Genesis' God Is Wild Tour. Afterward, she hosted and performed with her drag group at the Happyland Festival during Pride. In 2023, she began competing on Canada's Drag Race. 

Trivia

She is the fourth Drag Race franchise winner of Indigenous descent. Other queens with this distinction include Trixie Mattel, Yvie Oddly, and Sasha Colby. In 2020, she changed her legal first name to Venus, hence the username legallyvenus on social media.

Family Life

She is of French, Irish, and Red River Métis descent and identifies as a two-spirit person. In drag, she prefers she and her pronouns, but she does not have a pronoun preference out of drag. Her drag mother is Kendall Gender, who competed on season 2 of Canada's Drag Race.

Associated With

They met Lady Gaga in 2009. The host of Canada's Drag Race at the time she competed was Brooke Lynn Hytes.
