Spanish rapper known for his politically-motivated lyrics and songs. He began living in exile in Belgium in the year 2018 after being sentenced to more than three years in prison in Spain due to his lyrics. His case became symbolic in Spain, where it has been argued that authorities have been accused of cracking down on free speech.
Before Fame
He worked as a full-stack software developer and also as a rapper, but he was not well known before his legal proceedings. In February of 2017, Spain's National Court condemned the lyrics of ten songs from his album Residus de un Poeta, ten from Mallorca es Ca nostra, and two others that were uploaded to YouTube under the titles, "Marca España" and "El fascismo se Cura se Muriendo." It was said his lyrics supported historic, far-left terrorist groups ETA and GRAPO, and contained direct insults to the Spanish king and the royal family, as well as a death threat against the Balearic Islands president.
Trivia
He was the first Spanish musician to be sentenced to imprisonment due to his lyrics since the 1977 restoration of democracy in Spain.
