Valeriy Bondar

About

Male center back that earned his first professional club contract with FC Shakhtar Donetsk at the young age of 20. Since joining FC Shakhtar Donetsk in May of 2020, he has won multiple Ukrainian Premier League Championships. He has also played for the Ukrainian men's national team. 

Before Fame

He first discovered his passion for playing soccer as a young boy growing up. He officially joined the Shakhtar Donetsk youth ranks in the year 2007. 

Trivia

While playing with the Ukrainian U-20 national team, he won a gold medal during at the 2019 FIFA World Cup. After doing so, he and his teammates became the first Ukrainians ever to achieve this feat. He made his debut for senior national team on November 11, 2020 in a friendly game against Poland. He substituted Yukhym Konoplya in the 63rd minute.

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
