Estonian politician and former journalist known for being a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in Estonia. He is a member of the Reform Party who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Culture, and for being a member of the Estonian Parliament from the years 2003 through 2014.
Before Fame
He graduated from the University of Tartu with a degree in political science in 1996. He attended graduate school at the same university, though he never obtained a graduate-level degree. He became a journalist during graduate school. He worked as a journalist until 1999 when he began his career in politics by joining the Reform Party in Estonia.
