Her birth name is Umaria Binthy Ayesha Sinhawansa. She is the daughter of Tony Sinhawansa and Ayesha Sinhawansa. She has two older brothers, Subandrio, and Hharthono. Her older sister is Umara Sinhawansa. Her grandmother Rani Perera, was an actress in Sri Lankan cinema. She is also a granddaughter of the late songstress and actress Rukmani Devi.
