About
Retired sprinter largely renowned for his achievements in the 400-meter event. Some of his most prestigious wins include two gold medals from the 2003 Birmingham World Indoor Championships for the 400m and the 4 x 400m relay, as well as a gold medal from the 2006 Moscow World Indoor Championships for the 4 x 400m relay. His fastest time for the 400m was recorded in 2001 at 44.28 seconds.
Before Fame
He attended La Sierra High School before going on to graduate from San Bernardino Valley College. He commenced his competitive running career at the 1997 Junior College State Championships.
Trivia
His initial 4 x 400m relay gold medal win at the 2003 World Championships in Paris, France was later disqualified due to one of his teammates violating the doping regulations. He initially won a silver medal in the 400m event. However, also due to a doping disqualification of his best friend Jerome Young (who was also the official winner), he was awarded the gold medal post-race.
