Following his departure from the band in 2017, he has booked acting gigs, such as the role of Daniel on Disney's Bizaardvark. He was also cast as Isaiah on the series Black-ish. He appeared as Connor in the Hulu series Love, Victor and as Jeff in Grown-ish.

Originally a singer, he signed to Pro-Model and Talent Management in 2014. He would go on to appear in commercials and score small roles in several films.

He was raised in Cleveland, Ohio by his mother, Courtney Cornell Sprachmann, and father, Keith Lofton. His parents would eventually separate. He is the oldest of five, with younger siblings named Ryan, Rafy, Luther, and Ann.
