Travis Vengroff

American musician, writer, producer, actor, podcaster, and sound designer. He is best known for his work on the podcasts The White Vault, Don't Mind, VAST Horizon, Liberty, and Dark Dice. He has 2,000 followers on Twitter.

Before Fame

As a child he liked to listen to audiobooks, which led him to podcasting. He also dabbled in acting and real estate. He studied acting at the New York Film Academy, game design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and business management at the University of South Florida.

Trivia

In 2005, he was an accordionist and founded the band Random Encounter, and from 2019-2022 he directed an orchestra, a 40-person choir, and more than 30 medieval instruments for the soundtrack of the Dark Dice podcast. Throughout his career, he has appeared on panels and done lectures on podcasting. He draws upon his own success as material for his speeches. 

Family Life

He was born in Centerport, New York and moved to Sarasota, Florida when he was three. From 2013 to 2019, he worked with his father and brother in real estate in Sarasota, Bradenton, Orlando, and Memphis.

Associated With

He started creating fiction podcasts with his now-wife K.A. Statz in 2015 and that same year started Fool & Scholar Productions. Jeff Goldblum was part of Dark Dice and Ashly Burch and Dave Fennoy were among those in the audio drama podcast Liberty: Vigilance.
