Before Fame
She was educated at Folkestone School for Girls and graduated from the University of Hull with a law and politics degree in 1996. After graduation, she found herself working as a researcher to a Conservative MP rather than training to become a solicitor.

She was appointed as Minister for Sport, Civil Society and Loneliness in 2017, but resigned in 2018. She has played football and later became a FA qualified football coach.
