British politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Chatham and Aylesford since 2010. A member of the Conservative Party, she gained the seat from Labour's Jonathan Shaw.

Before Fame

She was educated at Folkestone School for Girls and graduated from the University of Hull with a law and politics degree in 1996. After graduation, she found herself working as a researcher to a Conservative MP rather than training to become a solicitor. 

Trivia

She was appointed as Minister for Sport, Civil Society and Loneliness in 2017, but resigned in 2018. She has played football and later became a FA qualified football coach.

Family Life

She married Steve Ladner. She gave birth to their first child in February 2016 and became the first Conservative minister ever to take maternity leave.
