Actor and comedian most widely recognized for being part of the comedy duo known as Impulse, along with partner Tsutsumishita Atsushi. He has also performed in numerous television drama series and feature films. Some of his most notable screen roles include Muramatsu in the 2006 drama romance Sugar & Spice, Tetsu Takeuchi in the 2013 comedy thriller Jukai no Futari, and Masamichi Higuchi on the fantasy romance television series Why Didn't I Tell You a Million Times?
Before Fame
He completed his primary education at Tsuruse Nishi Elementary School, Shiki Municipal Shiki Daini Junior High School, and Dokkyo Saitama High School. He later became a student of the Yoshimoto Sogo Gei no Ugakuin training center. He has been represented by the Yoshimoto Kogyo talent agency. He formed the comedy duo Impulse in the year 1998.

In addition to comedy and live-action performing, he is also a popular author. Some of his most notable publications include the Trigger series and Ant Hell, both of which were later adapted into comics, as well as Mobile Suit Gundam Blazing Shadow, Moon Flame, and Oni no Miya. He also published his first essay, titled Rooftops and Rifles, in 2023.
Family Life
He is the second born of three children. His siblings include an older brother who graduated from the University of Tokyo.
