All-Pro running back with the Miami Dolphins who won a National Championship while playing for the University of Alabama. As a coach, he was an assistant under Don Shula, became the Dolphins' running back coach in 1993, and later filled the same position under Tony Dungy from 1996 to 2001.
Before Fame
He is notable for being one of the first black football players at Woodlawn High School in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. His high school career became the subject of the 2015 film Woodlawn.
